Package Tour Inclusions | Proposed Itinerary

Suggested Itinerary for the 19 – 28 June 2009

This program is tailored for the avid Golfer but there is also a detailed non-golfer program for those that wish to enjoy summer in the Austrian Alps. Daily programs may vary depending on weather conditions and current daily programs.

Day 1 Friday 19 June 2009

         
Departure – Johannesburg / Cape Town / Durban

Day 2 Saturday 20 June 2009

Arrival – Franz Joseph International Airport in Munich with golfAustria Tours Meet and Greet service.

On arrival – Depart as soon as everyone is accounted for on a luxury coach to the ****Hotel Hochfilzer in Ellmau, Austria. The transfer generally takes 1½ – 2½ hours, depending on weather and traffic conditions.

Afternoon – On arrival, the hotel staff will assist with check-in while a glass of champagne welcomes you to the hotel.

After the welcome drink, settling in at the hotel with afternoon walk through the village known for its hospitality and striking Alpine mountain vista.

Evening activities – Welcome drinks and Welcome dinner in one of the hotel’s private dining rooms ( about 19H30 ), where we formally welcome the group and give a detailed guideline and orientation of what can be expected in the week to come. We will also gladly answer any questions or queries the clients might have.
There will be a flip chart in front of the private dining room throughout the stay, detailing the day’s events, and any other relevant information. This will be updated at the end of each day.

Finally to be followed by a good nights rest, that everybody will be longing for by then.

Day 3 Sunday 21 June 2009

General program: After breakfast, collect your golf clubs in the hotel’s lock up and head for the course selected for the day – these are detailed in a separate document. Transfers to the golf course is provided.

NON GOLFERS ALTERNATIVE – when en route explore the local village or town (eg Kitzbühel or Zell am See) or join the in-house adventure guide Didi on his daily program which can be anything from an organised walk in the mountains to a trip to the local mountain ‘cheesery’ or the high rope garden for some climbing skills!

Lunch : Lunch at the halfway house for own expense although a packed lunch is available from the hotel at no charge.

After lunch, back to master the remaining 9 holes.

Evening: Get ready for tonight’s Gala dinner, in the private dining room at the hotel. Enjoy the Live Music and Entertainment offered after dinner at the Hotel.

Day 5 Monday 22 June 2009

General program: After breakfast, collect your golf clubs in the hotel’s lock up and head for the course selected for the day – these are detailed in a separate document. Transfers to the golf course is provided.

NON GOLFERS ALTERNATIVE – when en route explore the local village or town (eg Kitzbühel or Zell am See) or join the in-house adventure guide Didi on his daily program.

Lunch : Lunch at the halfway house for own expense although a packed lunch is available from the hotel at no charge.

After lunch, back to master the remaining 9 holes.

Evening: Enjoy dinner at the hotel after a long day of Golf, the rest of the Evening is at leisure.

Day 6 Tuesday 23 June 2009

General program:  Day trip to Salzburg – enjoy the City of Mozart, only one hours drive away for some shopping and sight seeing!

GOLF ENTHUSIAST ALTERNATIVE – enjoy a round of Golf at the local GolfWelt in Ellmau and take advantage of your Golfer’s Massage.

Evening: After your dinner tonight, the entire village of Ellmau is on the street celebrating the Ellmauer Summer Night, with various Live Music throughout the village as well as numerous stalls offering drinks and local delicacies.

Day 7 Wednesday 24 June 2009

General program: After breakfast, collect your golf clubs in the hotel’s lock up and head for the course selected for the day – these are detailed in a separate document. Transfers to the golf course is provided.

NON GOLFERS ALTERNATIVE – when en route explore the local village or town (eg Kitzbühel or Zell am See) or join the in-house adventure guide Didi on his daily program

Lunch : Lunch at the halfway house for own expense although a packed lunch is available from the hotel at no charge.

After lunch, back to master the remaining 9 holes.

Evening: After dinner at the hotel enjoy the evening at leisure  

Day 8 Thursday 25 June 2009

General program: After breakfast, collect your golf clubs in the hotel’s lock up and head for the course selected for the day – these are detailed in a separate document. Transfers to the golf course is provided.

NON GOLFERS ALTERNATIVE – when en route explore the local village or town (eg Kitzbühel or Zell am See) or join the in-house adventure guide Didi on his daily program

Lunch : Lunch at the halfway house for own expense although a packed lunch is available from the hotel at no charge.

After lunch, back to master the remaining 9 holes.

Evening: Tonight the hotel offers its weekly Farmer’s Buffet – a culinary delight!

Day 9 Friday 26 June 2009

General program: Enjoy a day trip to Innsbruck and the Swarovski Crystal World ( entrance to the Crystal World is included) for some shopping and sight seeing!

GOLF ENTHUSIAST ALTERNATIVE – enjoy a last round of Golf at the local GolfWelt in Ellmau and take advantage of your Golfer’s Massage if you haven't already done so.

Evening: Farewell dinner at the hotel followed by in-house musical entertainment .   

Day 10 Saturday 27 June 2009

Hearty Breakfast, final packing and coach departure to Munich. Should time allow we can stop over in Munich. Enjoy a lunch at the Hofbrauhaus (own expense) and some time at leisure or for shopping in Munich before we head off to Munich airport, for the flight home.
