Golf Digest Reader's Tour 2009
Package Tour Inclusions | Proposed Itinerary
GolfDigest Editor Stuart McLean visited this region of Austria during 2008 ( see March 2009 edition of GolfDigest for a detailed report back ). In conjunction with both GolfDigest and GolfAustria Tours the GolfDigest Readers Tour of 2009 has been born. The tour is limited to 20 people and is on a First-Come-First-Serve basis.
TOTAL PACKAGE SUMMARY: The total package price as detailed below with all inclusions / exclusions is EUR 995.00 per adult sharing. Flights are an additional ZAR 6840.00 per person including taxes ( subject to availability ). We price the international components in Euros which fluctuate with the exchange rate until the package is paid in full.
Here is a detailed description of the accommodation as well as the resort - inclusions and exclusions follow below:
- Resort: ELLMAU - GOLFWELT
- Dates: 20 – 27 June 2009
- Accommodation: **** Hotel Hochfilzer, Ellmau - GolfWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental
- Position: This stately hotel is situated in central village location and situated amongst all the restaurants, shops etc. SUPERB position!
- Facilities: Reception, hotel bar and hotel lounge, sun terrace, extensive restaurants, breakfast and dining rooms, elevator, golf bag lock up and Wellness area.
- Rooms: Suites, single, double, triple and family rooms with own private en-suite with bath or shower and toilet, radio, cable TV and telephone
- Wellness Spa: Very extensive wellness and spa area with indoor pool, heated outdoor and indoor whirl pool, sauna, roman terrarium, Kneipp area, solarium, beauty & massage salon (extra cost)
- Meal basis: extensive 4 course dinner menu with choice of main courses plus salad buffet; hot and cold breakfast buffet ( eggs to order ) and packaged golfer’s lunch
- Transfers: return shuttle transfer from and to Munich airport with Meet and Greet, golf course transfers
- General information: The 4 star family run AktivHotel Hochfilzer lies in the middle of the holiday village of Ellmau at the Wilder Kaiser in Tyrol, famous for it's high level of Winter exploits, but now very established as a Golfing Destination. What was once a large farmhouse is now an oasis of relaxation for the whole family.

- Economy class fare on Emirates via Dubai to Munich ( subject to confirmation and block booking )
- Departure flight date: 19 June 2009
- Return flight date: 27 June 2009
- Airport and taxes at ZAR 1845.00 at present and fluctuates until paid in full
- Meet & Greet at Munich airport
- Return transfers from and to Munich airport by luxury shuttle coach
- Welcome hamper in the hotel room
- 4 days of Alpine Golf Safari ( Ellmau GolfWelt, Kitzbühel Schwarzsee, Kitzbühel Eichenheim, Zell am See)
- Alternative Non Golfers Program (explore the villages and lakes of the Golf Safari Resorts – eg Kitzbühel / Schwarzsee , Zell am See) or join the local in-house guide for a day of adventure
- 2 City Day Excursions ( Salzburg, Innsbruck ) - can be changed to 2 Golf days at the Ellmau GolfWelt for the Golf Enthusiast!
- 4 course dinners nightly ( with Farmers Buffet; Candle light dinners )
- Hot & Cold Austrian breakfast daily ( eggs to order )
- Packed Golfer lunch daily

- Schengen Visa required for the EU ( if applicable )
- R 250.00 administrative handling fee per person

All prices are correct and subject to availability and changes effected from the various providers beyond the control of golfAustria.
Payments
1. In ZAR into our South African bank account - ZAR price subject to ROE quoted to golfAustria Tours
2. Prices ZAR are only guaranteed once paid in full. Alternatively an advance forex contract can be established on request. All bank charges in relation to this contract are to the clients account, ZAR subject to ROE quoted for the contract purpose.
3. If not paid in full, a 20% deposit is payable upon confirmation, the balance is due 8 weeks prior to departure.
